Why Central Coast Gynecology

Maryam Guiahi, MD founded an independent practice in 2024 to offer more personal and responsive gynecologic care. Central Coast Gynecology carries that foundation into a broader practice identity rooted in this region.
Physician-owned means clinical priorities remain close to the people they affect. The physicians caring for patients help shape how visits are structured, how follow-up works, which services are added, and how the practice grows. For patients, that translates into care that feels attentive, consistent, responsive, and genuinely personal.
The name makes room for thoughtful growth while preserving what patients value: clinical rigor, direct communication, individualized options, and care without judgment. As the practice grows, those standards will remain the measure for every service and clinician we add.

A founder with the training to take complex concerns seriously.
Dr. Guiahi is double board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Complex Family Planning. Her work spans direct patient care, research, education, ethics, and clinical leadership.
